Itchy skin when exposed to cold air?

Just in the last 5 yrs, my skin is extremely itchy when that part of my body is exposed to cold or damp cold air. It's when I'm walking outside and it's usually my legs and bottom or hands that itch sooooo bad that I have to scratch so much that I get welts. My body is covered, but usually my lower half only has 1 layer on. I never used to have this problem. I'm 53 now. What happened over the last few yrs to my skin??? Any way to prevent this?

YOU GOT HERPES. STOP SLEEPING AROUND WITH GAY MEN.
Reply:Your skin is dryer in the cold weather. Try some really good lotion and see if it helps any.
Reply:You should ask a doctor.
Reply:the cold air could be drying out your skin causing it to itch. make sure to keep moisturized. Gold bond, Aveeno, or cortaid have anti itch lotion you can use for dry skin.
Reply:i think your skin is just drying out because of the cold weather. use a body lotion after you take a bath. (ie. neutrogena--they have this product that prevents itching)
Reply:Use gold bond lotion and or powder the winter itch! works the best! get it any wal-mart drug store etc! Better than any lotion

  1. itchiness does not come from the external, it comes from the internal.

look into bosting your health, it sounds like an autoimmmune disorder.. which means your immune system is hyper.. it needs balancing.

stop smoking, stop caffeine.... stop all phramaceuticals... eat well.. trust nature..organic all the way

main offenders for ill health are dairy(pasturised, raw is ok) wheat and nuts

get air, exercise and lots of sun.. take a vit D3 suppliment.

as you get healthier and your immune system levels out, it will disapear.. this goes for most illnesses.

PLUS: find out your genetic blood typing.. and eat foods that your body can assimilate into pure nutrition. Im type 0, i find that eating a diet high in animal proteins.. makes me super well.

ABOVE ALL - do no believe the MEDIA and BUSINESSES .. especially the PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES...their agenda is your money
