I have really itchy skin!?!?
sounds like a alergic reaction. Try some bendryl, if that doesn't help you need to see a doctor
Reply:just go to a dermatologist....... im sure it can help you there....
Reply:Well, winter time can bring very dry skin; my skin is very sensitive and I have a mild case of psoriasis which usually appears only in winter.

Anyway, really dry cold season skin can be a huge pain. Dry, red, itchy, flaky or dandruff-y in the eyebrows, hairline, scalp, etc. Here are some tips for you...

1. I'd first suggest a good moisturizer...Aveeno Oatmeal lotion is awesome stuff, and is wonderful for your skin. Plain old Vaseline is good too, put it on the especially itchy spots before bed.

2. Use chapstick. REAL chapstick, not glosses.

3. Buy a good conditioner and some moisturizing anti-dandruff shampoo (moisturizes and stops itching).

4. DO NOT ( I found this out from my doc) take super hot showers...they can dry out skin even in summer, and in the dry/cold season it gets really bad.

However, if you try some of these things and it's still bothering you, you may have a skin condition like psoriasis, eczema, or dermatitis. Do any of those run in your family?

Be wary of allergic reactions too---those can be dangerous...did you eat anything odd? If it's acute and intense, a doctor or dermatologist might be your best bet.

Also, stress causes bad skin problems as well---breakouts, terrible itching, rashes, hives, splotchiness...have you been under a lot of stress, or are you particularly worried about something? Itchy skin is OFTEN a complaint of people who are anxious, stressed, or worried.

Hope some of that helps, and good luck!
Reply:Perhaps it's stress?

Possible lotions that you can use:

1) Vaseline is great, but if you don't like the texture, try to dab some cold water on the itchy skin and then put Vaseline on.

2) Aveeno Oatmeal Lotion comes in tiny bottles too which you can use if this is supposed to be temporary.

3) If this lasts, try Physiogel AI Cream. It's kind of expensive, but it is VERY VERY useful, and it also can prevent similar "itchy-skin" reactions in the future!

Go talk to your dermatologist if this lasts.

Oh, and STOP SCRATCHING! (That's just going to make things worse)
