Epidural Steroid Injection & itchy skin??

I just got my 2nd ESI two days ago. my skin is very itchy. It didn't happen after the first ESI (it did disrupt my menstrual cycle though). Is this possible? Or is it the anesthsia causing the itch??

Epidural Steroid Injection %26amp; itchy skin??
If you ask any women who has had a kid they will most likely tell you that they had an attack of the itches when they were done delivering. The anesthsia in the epidural is what causes this. It passes within a few hours and is very common
Reply:i would guess the anesthesia. i got shots for a long time in my lower back. there are many people that get steroid shots to help with poison ivy and the such, (helps with the itching). i doubt it is what caused the itch. ive read more people can be allergic or sensitive to many of the "caine" (benzocaine, lidocaine ect.) . if it is bothersome or becomes worse, i would discuss it with the dr or the nurses. they can maybe change or switch to a different medication
