What is the best cure for severe itchy skin?

I have had some type of allergic outbreak. I have red, itchy bumps everywhere. Benadryl makes me too tired. My skin is severely irritated. Please help!!!

What is the best cure for severe itchy skin?
Cortisone cream. Use the Aveeno bath soak packets...they will help a lot. Also, take the non-drowsy Benadryl.
Reply:get rid of the cause. no point taking benadryl if you're still lathering yourself with asbestos.
Reply:try the benadryl cram instead or hydracortizone cream
Reply:See a dermatologist. There are topical ointments that can be used to treat it. Calamine lotion is a quick fix (found at local drug store) until you can get a prescription for something better. The doc may even give you a topical steroid if you've got dermatitis. Once you've used it for a while it may go away for good... or it may be as much as a year before you need anything else. You'll probably need to apply to the affected area for a few weeks and then a bit after it goes away.

Good luck!
Reply:There is a benadryl cream that you could use
Reply:Try using Hyo. Periode. I use it alot .....helps for bites , pain, skin etc. Just put in palm of hand and put on . Drys quick and not expensive at all. Pem

Reply:Aloe Vera Gel, or something cool and soothing as a surface treatment. I try to stay away from drugs, they're stupid. Excluding cigarettes and beer, of course. Kidding! I meant prescription drugs anyways.

If you've ever heard of Tiger Balm, it might smell like shxt, but it's really helpful for me.
Reply:Burn it.
