Sounds like you had some sort of allergic reaction if you're itching...which is good because hopefully that means you won't smoke again! :) I'm not sure about any remedies except maybe sipping on some honey tea to help with the cough. It should go away in a day or so.
Reply:Honey and lemon.
Reply:It was only one day ago. It will go away. The itchy skin may not have anything to do with it or it could be an allergic reaction. Now you know that you don't need to ever smoke again.
Reply:First congratulations.

Second you are having a form of withdrawal. You should probably talk to your doctor, see what he prescibes. or even get the patch.

Again Congrats. Great step for thenew year. Keep going. Need encouragement let me knwo
Reply:If the coughing hasn't stopped in 24 hours, I'd say you need to go to the ER for a nebulizer treatment. That'll help relax the allergic reaction your bronchials are having to the inhaled smoke. For the itchy skin, you can try Benedryl (sp?) cream or get something when you go to the ER for it also.
Reply:allergic reaction maybe try taking a OTC antihistamine
