Need help with pimply, oily and itchy skin?

Hi! I've had pimples since 6th grade. They started on my forehead and the first dermatologist I consulted (4 years later) said it was because of my shampoo, so I switched. She pricked my pimples and I was pimple-free for a few months. Then I started developing pimples, from small ones to big, red acne, on my cheeks. Another dermatologist treated it (by pricking + a bleach for the scars. Again, I was pimple free. I used creams (with micropeel) + clindamycin. Now, my pimples are coming back, this time, all over my face: small ones on my cheeks and forehead, and big ones near the hairline. And my skin sometimes dry and itchy, but can also be very oily.

Would Virgin Coconut Oil help? How about hot face towels? Lemon didn't work for me... Help!

Thanks in advance!

if you apply the lime or lemon water during the night..and it does not help just try a small spoon of honey and apply all over your face and then wait for it to dry and then wash it with cold or warm water..

more you should use the cucumber water or the blended one and apply to the face..i think this remedies will help
Reply:While less aggressive ideas like coconut oil and hot compresses won't hurt, it may be time to be more aggressive, especially since you have already started some standard treatments with a dermatologist. Consider speaking with one again, since there are further treatments that you have not been on yet, such as Retin-A and Accutane. These are not harmless, so you will need to discuss any questions with your dermatologist.

Obviously, make sure you are avoiding all the problem things in your life such as caffeine, chocolate, harsh chemicals, etc. There is a mild, gentle cleaner called Cetaphil that a dermatologist suggested using for your face (it is not prescription). Unless directed by your dermatologist, I would avoid things that advertise themselves as astringent, "peels" or alpha-hydroxy because the harshness can actually trigger breakouts.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
Reply:I tell every to stop using prescription creams with steroids and over the counter medicine for acne. The best thing for you to do is use glycerin-based soaps and lotions. I use Dove. Also do not use oil-based make-up, it dries the skin. Try using lemon juice. Apply to face, leave on for a few minutes and rinse off with cool water. Or make a paste using ground orange peel and warm water. Apply to face and rinse with cool water. Apply glycerin based lotion.

At roseys-herbal-medicine"googlegroups .com there are some good tips. Especially on foods with iodine. If acne worsen please seek medical attention.
